More Spot the Difference: The Moogy Roo Series.
This Blog is a retrospective look back on my self publishing journey which took just on 12 months from the day I decided to publish my first story, mid January 2019 to finally collecting my first 534 copies from customs at Brisbane Wharf late January 2020.
Date in History 27th May 2019
You will see subtle changes continue to be made between initial drafts and final sketches. Including a couple of needed grammatical changes in a couple of the final sketches below which I only picked up during the final colouring process, and luckily before print. I know I have said this before, but attention to detail when self publishing is critical as is an editor to also pick up small details easily missed.

Spot the differences above? Subtle size change to Jack's character to make him look smaller than Moogy Roo as well as addition of the period ... after the word 'heard' .

Spot the differences above? We had a significant change to the above scene to better illustrate Moogy Roo as one character quickly moving behind Jack. Also not shown in the above final illustration, and not noticed until the last minute during the final colouring process, was the missing capitalisation of 'And' in the sentence "And not come out to play" as shown in the first draft illustration for emphasis. For some reason this got changed when the illustration was updated.

Spot the differences above? Until you view the final colour draft, you will not spot any changes, but I did miss the addition of a comma after 'But I promise' again not spotted until the final colouring process. I also added an extra couple of exclamation marks for a bit of fun.

Spot the differences above? Enlargement of Moogy Roo and removal of the capitalisation of "And" as it is a continuation of previous sentence. I also added a full stop after 'still'. which will make sense when the next scene is revealed next blog.
Coming up: What happens next in the story as the final draft pages of my book are revealed.
Thanks for your support.
